Finding a well preserved 1991 mercedes benz 560sec that isn't beat to death or one that has such low miles that the owner still thinks it's worth what he paid back in 1991 is tough. Seems like finding an extreme high quality car that's justifiable is harder that the latter two. When a local lady walked into my dealership one day to talk about a mercedes benz she wanted to sell, i was all ears. I have loved this brand for decades and i especially love seeing examples that are in great condition and were maintained to keep them like that. Her car, this 1991 mercedes benz 560sec is one of my favorites. This is the big body coupe that was nearly a six figure buy back in 1991. Those who could afford this mercedes benz were only the ultra-wealthy. Everyone else would drop down to the mark vii lsc to pretend they had a luxury coupe. After 30 years in the business, i have a pretty good handle on quality cars. Newer or older, doesn't matter to me, it's all about the overall condition both cosmetically and mechanically. Usually one doesn't come without the other. The blemishes on this car are few and one would expect this car to have far less miles than it does when viewing the condition anywhere on this car. Chips, pits and dents are extremely minimal, almost all are completely un-noticeable. A good upholstery shop could make it look like new for peanuts. The burl wood is in great condition with few cracks in it surface. The exterior paint and body are in excellent shape with very few chips or blemishes. Again, we always show 100% of the car so nothing can be missed... As much as we can inspect. Extreme quality condition mechanically and cosmetically, zero rust or faulty components. It was also enjoyed and cared for to give it desert comfort and reliability in the harsh las vegas area deserts. Best of all, the service documentation is outstanding. We have records of recent services and dating back to 2000 when the car had 81668 miles on it. Spectacular interior looks almost new with power windows and locks, cruise control, telescopic steering, am/fm/cd/stereo, console storage, dual front airbags, everything works including the retractible seat belt mechanisms. Plenty of tread but older tires m117 5. 6 liter sohc alloy v8: 238hp @ 4,800 and 287 ft-lbs. Torque @ 3,500 rpm(clean, dry and meticulously maintained since the day it was born) looks exceptional under here too. All the cosmolene is in ghreat shape and no rust anywhere . . .
